Brief History of Barangay Poblacion North
Barangay Poblacion North came into existence when the Municipal Council of Solano, with the then Honorable Mayor Santiago M. Hermoso, deliberated in their session of January 10, 1964, Resolution creating an additional district, defining and delineating its boundaries. During those times, the Municipality had only eight districts apportioned among Municipal Councilors for supervision and one of the districts in which the municipal offices are situated was assigned to the Vice Mayor, hence, there is a necessity for creating one additional district. Thus, the district of Poblacion came into existence.
During the Marcos era, the declaration of P.D. 557 dated September 21, 1974 stated that “all existing barrios or barrios that may hereafter be created are hereby declared as Barangays and all references to the barrio in any existing laws shall henceforth be understood as references to the Barangay.”
With this declaration, the existing Poblacion was divided into two barangays. Half of it is now the present Barangay Poblacion North. Our very own Poblacion North.

SYMBOL AND ITS MEANING
Designed by: DANILO A. BADUA (1994)
THE GREEN CIRCLE behind the six-sided star speaks of the common goal and the dream of the residents for a progressive and a prosperous community. Its color green speaks of unfading hope to reach that dream. This dream is what binds them to work in concerted efforts.
THE SIX SIDED STAR symbolizes the six puroks of the barangay bound by a single vision of striving for progress, peace and solidarity.
THE WHEEL OF COMMERCE symbolizes the trades of occupations that the residents engage in. And since Barangay Poblacion North is situated in commercial center, the wheel of commerce is aptly chosen. This wheel is continuously propelled speaks of the constant endeavours of the whole barangay to move towards progress and development.
THE BLUE COLOR speaks of peaceful, noble and honest means of livelihood in the community.
THE MAN PROPELLING THE WHEEL symbolizes each individual with his own trade, occupation, skills and other special capabilities. This is also symbolic of individual responsibility in contributing to the betterment of the barangay.
