REGISTRATION OF BIRTH IN HOSPITAL/CLINIC (COLB already accomplished in the Hospital/Clinic):

Republic Act No. 3753 mandates that the acts, events, legal instruments and court orders/decrees concerning the civil status of persons shall be recorded. The birth of a child must be registered within thirty (30) days from birth at the MCRO.  Registration of birth certificate is free of charge, pursuant to Section 6 of P.D. No. 651.

  • REGISTRATION OF MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE

The Certificate of Marriage (COM) of a Civil or Church wedding with Marriage License must be registered within fifteen (15) days after the solemnization of marriage; COM of a Civil or Church Wedding under Art. 34 or PD 1083 must be registered within thirty (30) days after the solemnization of marriage.  Registration of marriage certificate is free of charge, pursuant to Section 6 of P.D. No. 651.

  • REGISTRATION OF DEATH CERTIFICATE

The registration of Death Certificate (DC) at the MCRO within thirty (30) days is mandatory.  Delayed registration of death must be filed following the lapse of the prescribed period of 30 calendar days from the death of a person.  Registration of death certificate is free of charge, pursuant to Section 6 of P.D. No. 651.

Engaged couples (either one or both of them is a resident of Solano, NV) of legal ages who are intending to get marry must apply for marriage license at the MCRO. The Marriage License is valid anywhere in the Philippines for a period of 120 days from the date of issue.

  • PETITION FOR CHANGE OF FIRST NAME (CFN) AND CORRECTION OF CLERICAL OR TYPOGRAPHICAL ERROR (CCE) UNDER RA 9048 AND RA 10172

Republic Act 9048 authorizes the City/Municipal Civil Registrar to correct clerical or typographical errors in any entry in the Certificate of Live Birth, Marriage or Death of a person and to change the First Name of a child in his/her Certificate of Live Birth (COLB) without the need of a judicial order. However, petitions to correct error that would subsequently change the nationality, age, date of birth, sex and legitimacy of the child shall be filed with the proper court.

  • LEGITIMATION OF A NATURAL CHILD

Legitimation is a remedy by which a child who was born out of wedlock will be considered legitimate after his/her parents marry each other, and who at the time of conception of the child was not disqualified by any impediment to marry each other. There should be no previous marriage of the parents from other parties. Moreover, parents who gave birth at the age of 17 yrs. old and below, cannot legitimate their own child. In these both cases, an Affidavit to Use the Surname of the Father (AUSF) shall be executed instead.  Legitimation of a child by subsequent marriage of his/her parents shall be recorded in the civil registry office where the birth was recorded.
