MUNICIPAL MAYOR’S OFFICE – ADMINISTRATIVE
Administrative Section

The Municipal Mayor’s Office (MMO) – Administrative Section is composed of 15 personnel geared towards the effective and efficient delivery of services for the Solanoans.

In 2020, amidst the emergence of the global pandemic that is the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the MMO Admin Section was still able to assist the Municipal Mayor in her performance of various functions even during the suspension of work in the Local Government Unit of Solano. The staff of this section volunteered to become part of the packing and distribution teams of the food and relief assistance for affected families, and became the man power needed to accomplish other activities that rose due to COVID-19.

In addition to this, the MMO has catered to clients with different issues and concerns, and helped resolved these by endorsing them to the offices concerned and providing assistance any way we can.

The MMO received a total of 4,250 incoming communication letters from various national and local offices, Non-Government Organizations, and individuals. Invitation to events and requests for monetary and other forms of assistance are the usual contents of these letters. Some were endorsed to concerned offices for their appropriate action, while those asking for financial assistance to be used for accessing medical treatment and medication were approved by the Mayor, 483 requests for financial assistance were approved.

The Mayor also solemnizes marriages but due to COVID-19, only 16 couples were blessed and wed in 2020.

Apart from this, the MMO also provides Mayor’s Clearances that are used for local and overseas employment. Grade 12 students, who are undergoing Work Immersion online, since face-to-face learning modality has been prohibited, are required to secure a Mayor’s Clearance and this is given to them for free. A total of 658 Clearances were issued for various purposes.

Other certifications that the Office produces are the “Certificate of Unemployment” used for application for scholarships, “Certificate of Posting” which is needed by national agencies who are posting on the LGU’s bulletin board, “Certificate of Appearances” for visiting Officials and Employees of the government, among others.

Another service given by the MMO is the issuance of the Permit to Construct Tomb, a permit secured by relatives of a deceased Solanoans that will rest at the Municipal Cemetery, and the Permit to Disinter, given to those who will transfer the remains of the deceased to another resting place.

The MMO – Administrative Section commits to continue to cater to the needs of Solanoans proving the brand of service Serbisyong Tapat at Alagang Sapat para sa lahat. All of this, for a better Solano

 

MUNICIPAL MAYOR’S OFFICE – BPLS
Business Permits and Licensing Section

This section of the Municipal Mayor’s Office is tasked to issue: Mayor’s/Business Permit, Occupational Permit, Special Permit, Trucking Permit, Tricycle Permit, Certifications and other related issuances of the office. It is also responsible for on-sight inspection and checking of Business/Mayor’s Permit. The absence of such permit in the operation of their business compels this office to issue notices.

Our office Calendar of Activities started with the installation of BUSINESS ONE-STOP-SHOP on January 3-31, 2020 of Business/Mayor’s Permit in compliance to the call of the National Government’s streamlining licensing procedures. Tricycle for hire permit renewal followed starting on February 2020 onwards.

By way of a saturation drive and on-site inspections, this section was able to reach 658 business establishments, 189 delivery trucks/van and 20 combined harvesters, despite the threat of the Covid-19. Due to the broad adverse effect of the Pandemic, this office assists the Local Government in the implementation/compliance of various business establishment to the Local IATF Health and Safety Protocols. We conducted recorrida publicly announcing health and safety measures to business owners and to the buying public.

Our LGU has implemented skeletal force or work-from-home working scheme and even lockdown of the Municipal Hall due to this pandemic, but this section has not cease in its mandate of subjecting to local taxes concealed business activities. As a result, this section recorded a total of 3,599 business permit applications, out of that figure we were able to issue 2,841 Business/Mayor’s Permit, 1,889 Tricycle Permits, 5,134 Occupational Permits and other issuances hereto enclosed.
